Very impressed with this product. Quality is immediately evident and the packaging is a real art form! Wish it had been a little cheaper, but that's bye the bye. Very simple to attach to a wall and looks really great. In my case I mounted the bottle 'flow' behind a door opening, made possible by the fact that bottles lie flush with the wall, not projecting much more than bottle width. A great idea!

prompt delivery, great product, does more than it says, makes life much easier. Safer than a chain saw, handier and quick. I enjoy using it and even look for work to do with it. Cuts through wood at least 4" thick, and through small branches with ease.

Very happy with this - is so much better than the one it replaced. A little heavy but very powerful with long charge and find easy to empty. Would recommend to anyone!

 Battery not replaceable., 2009-11-17
My V4899 B&D Dustbuster is about 2 years old, and doesn't get an enormous amount of use. Even so, the battery in it is at the stage where it provides full power for maybe 30 seconds and then goes feeble, feebler, feebler and so on.
I discovered that getting the battery replaced was going to cost rather more than buying a replacement unit (when including VAT and P&P etc), because it's an engineers job to replace the batteries which are (I kid you not) soldered to the motor assembly! How environmentally friendly is that? A product that you have to throw away because it's beyond economic repair, even though 80% of it still works fine. 0 out of 10 for B&D
A further 0 out of 10 for them because, when I contacted them to ask if they DO have a newer product with user replaceable batteries, they replied that they don't! That includes this model too. (BTW you'll find B&Ds hand held Vacs on their web site, just a couple of clicks away from the proud statement from their CEO that says how hugely environmentally friendly their products are!). It maybe that their recent merger with Stanley Tools will bring a little 21st century thinking into their designs. Let's hope so.
So anyway, now, I am looking for a Hand vac that has a user-replaceable battery. I'd advise you to do the same unless, a couple of years from now, you too want to be junking a perfectly good vac, that just has a duff battery.
There you go, a rarity! A cleaner review that hasn't used the word "sucks" - doh!
