For an item carrying the Bosch brand and the price I would expect a blade that is a bit more durable. Great when new they do seem to be losing their edge faster each year, bit like policemen (ok policepeople) looking younger, no seriously I am now having to buy 2 of the darned things a year. It is as though they only have a very thin sharp edge and once that has gone you are into much softer metal which will not stay sharp. Disappointing really as they are very impressive when new.
AXT Rapid 2000/2200 shredder, 2010-06-07
Blade works well on most types of materials and appears to have a reasonable working life. Bosch state that the blade cannot be resharpened but we sharpened it and got a bit more life out of it. The shredder is a good product and we would recommend it to others.
Replacement blade for Bosch shredder, 2010-05-10
Good solid blade that lasts well, AND is reversable so when finally blunt on one side, simply turn blade over for new sharp shredding. ***NB*** Make sure no stones ever get dropped in to the shredder as they will blunt the blade in seconds.
Shredder Blade, 2010-05-07
The blade arrived promptly and I installed it in Bosch shredder without too much problem. Haven't used the shredder since, but from what I read on Fred's Shed the new blade should make a big difference. The old blade, which I had used since purchasing the shredder some 6 years ago, was in a very poor state.

Replacement Blade delivered 4 days after order placed.
Haven't used it yet as I re-ground the original blade which I am still using.
